Disable Windows Update Settings For Gamers / Slow Computers

     If you're gaming, using a lot of resources or don't have the greatest computer, these windows update settings are a necessity.  The last thing you want while gaming or using a lot of resources is your windows to start installing updates.  This will also help speed up slower computers by letting you be in control of your updates.  Just remember to check for updates periodically! Here are the steps!

1. Go to Control Panel

2. Click System and Security



3.  Then Click Windows update



4.  Click Change Settings



5.  Use Drop down menu and chose check for updates but let me chose when to install



6. Uncheck the box and click ok


Note: If you want to be extreme, you change change drop down menu to "never check for updates".  If you're a forgetful person I wouldn't recommend :)
